WOAH!!!!!!!!

So what did you think of Lost? They are back in my good graces for sure! And it's nice to see that Jack hasn't changed. Still has his issues and won't get over them. Dude, it's called therapy.

I totally called it

I knew there was no way that wedding was going to happen on Grey's Anatomy. Now the question is, are the rumours true? Will Isaiah Washington not be returning? And what will happen to George? Looks like he's quitting - will we ever see him again? And wow, Callie got chief resident. Wow!

So I like Jim on the Office & all, but that was kind of a dick move abandoning his girlfriend in the city. I mean, did he even tell her he was leaving? Hmmm. I don't like how they made Jan such a nut case. She was all efficiency & professionalism in the british version. Argh. Just another crazy lady looking to get married! Bleah.

And on Scrubs, I was a little disappointed. I think it was a little forced, the whole ending. I don't know.

What did you all think of the last Thursday night in this May's sweeps??

CW Network Cancels 'Veronica Mars'

NEW YORK -- The CW network canceled the cult hit "Veronica Mars" and will try to pick up steam in its second year with series about the snobby rich, transplanted families and a bounty hunter for the devil.

The network, created out of the ashes of the former WB and UPN, had already ended the long-running family dramas "7th Heaven" and "Gilmore Girls." On Thursday the ax fell on "Veronica Mars," which starred Kristen Bell as a wisecracking teenage private eye.

Corporate parents CBS Corp. and Time Warner Inc. had hoped the CW could become a fifth major network by combining the best of its predecessors, but it has often slipped behind Univision in the ratings during a disappointing first year.

The new "Gossip Girl," about a group of prep school teenagers in Manhattan, will be given the biggest push. The CW scheduled it for Wednesdays at 9 p.m. after its top-rated program, "America's Next Top Model."

The CW's only new comedy, "Aliens in America," is about a high school student trying to adjust to a Pakistani exchange student. "Life is Wild" is a drama about a New York City family spending a year at a game reserve in South Africa.

The new drama "Reaper" features one of the CW's oldest new characters: a 21-year-old. His parents sold his soul to the devil and he's assigned to track down evil escapees from hell.

On Sunday nights, the network will debut "The CW Now," an entertainment-oriented newsmagazine for 18-to-34-year-olds. "Online Nation" will talk about what's hot on the Web.

In midseason, the CW will bring on a reality show, "Farmer Wants a Wife," about a country guy choosing among 10 women fed up with big-city prospects.

Fox will also release its fall schedule on Thursday.

Heroes spinoff & The Return of the Bionic Woman

NBC announces schedule, shows
'Heroes' gets second series
By MICHAEL SCHNEIDER

While the focus this spring centered on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy"spin-off, NBC was quietly developing one of their own - and announced this morning that "Heroes" has spawned a second series of its own.
"Heroes: Origins" will air in "Heroes'" Monday night time slot when that smash hit takes a hiatus. The net has ordered six segs of "Origins," which, combined with "Heroes," makes for 30 hours altogether.

"Heroes: Origins" will center on characters not yet seen on the original show. Peacock has also added an interactive element to the show: Viewers will be asked to pick their favorite character from "Origins," who will then join the cast of the full-blown "Heroes" skein the following year.
The initiative to keep the "Heroes" franchise in originals for as long as possible harkens back to the golden age of TV, when series aired 39 weeks worth of originals, then took a break.
With repeats dipping to record lows on all five nets, those reruns are fast becoming a thing of the past. Besides the 30-seg "Heroes" and "Heroes: Origins" stretch, Peacock is also picking up 30 eps of "The Office" - including five hour-longs (Daily Variety, May 14) - and 25 segs of "My Name is Earl."

NBC is also waiting until January to launch the 18th season of "Law & Order," as well as the return of "Medium" - both of which will bow on Sunday nights after "Sunday Night Football" completes its run (allowing the two skeins to remain in originals for the full stretch).
Meanwhile, the net announced that it has also pacted with Peacock alum Jerry Seinfeld and DreamWorks to air 20 "minisodes" featuring the comedian recounting his experience voicing the upcoming ani feature "Bee Movie." The shorts will air as interstitials on the network.
Peacock's new 2007-08 season so far includes five new dramas, one new laffer, a new game show and one new reality competish.

"Last year we promised a return to the NBC legacy of quality, and in terms of awards, buzz and critical acclaim, that's just what we delivered," NBC Entertainment President Kevin Reilly said. "We've got the class and next season we're ready to add some mass, with new shows that build on the creative accomplishments of last season and are as broad as they are good. Combine the energy of these new programs with the bulked-up strength of our existing NBC hits and you've got a lineup that's poised to take us to the next level."

Despite speculation that "Heroes" and Thursday staple "ER" might move, net opted for stability and kept those shows in their regular homes. Also, as anticipated, critical fave (and narrowly renewed) drama "Friday Night Lights" will move to high school football night - and Peacock marketers can breathe a sigh of relief ("'Friday Night Lights,' finally on Friday," the blurbmeisters are probably already prepping).

Also, as expected, "The Office" will move into the key Thursday 9 p.m. tentpole slot, with "30 Rock" behind "My Name is Earl" and "Scrubs" behind "The Office." Because "The Office" will expand to an hour on five ocassions, the Peacock had only ordered 18 segs of "Scrubs."
Meanwhile, net stayed true to its word, and stuck with mostly reality and unscripted in the 8 p.m. slot, other than Thursday.

Toughest night for the Peacock? Wednesday, where the net will attempt two new shows "Bionic Woman" and "Life." NBC clearly believes there's an opening on the night, now that ABC has said that "Lost" won't return until January.

On Fridays, the net is promoting a "Game Night" at 8 p.m., with "1 vs. 100" airing for six weeks, followed by new gamer "The Singing Bee."

New shows include the dramas "Journeyman," "Chuck," "Bionic Woman" and "Life," with "Lipstick Jungle" prepped for midseason. Comedy "The IT Crowd" is also on the bench for midseason. New unscripted entires include "The Spelling Bee" and is "World Moves." Talent competish comes from "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson and follows dance teams competing for a touring contract.

No I will not marry you, biaaaaaaaaaaaatch!

Last night I watched Gilmore Girls. I was never completely sold on Logan, so I was happy that Rory turned him down. All of the helicoptering around and losing millions of dollars in business deals at 23 was a little much for me. The grandparents singing was quite a sight... Otherwise, I was just thinking that I was impressed they were ending the show this season. I only realized recently that it was really happening and I am proud of them for not dragging it out as Paris and Rory ended up somehow living together again and Loreali bounced back between Christopher and Luke some more. I will miss the witty banter, but they haven't been doing quite as well with that this season as in the past, so I think I'll be okay.

What else did everyone watch last night? Anyone catch the L&O? I tried to record it, but m's PVR was already set up to record the Unit and House and I didn't want to mess with it.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent!

I was wondering what else would be on the tube tonight besides American Idol (hm, maybe I'll catch up on my reading!) when I noticed in the paper that at 9 (eastern) on NBC, Law & Order: Criminal Intent is doing an Anna Nicole Smith rip-off - and starring as Howard Stern? David Cross! I'm so watching it.

Good 24 last night! Does it make me a bad person that I cheered when that guy shot Milo? B/c that was pretty awesome.

Oh, Betty!

Now I love Ugly Betty (the show & the character), but something in last night's episode really bugged me. And it is linked to our mother site, www.theoriginalwhatsforlunch.com. Why would she take a random yoghurt out of the office fridge if she knew she didn't put it in there? The only possible explanation is that the office provides yoghurt, but she took a personal one instead of a company one. I don't buy that, though, b/c she also took a piece of pie out of the fridge! Now I love Betty, but that a) seemed totally out of character for her (she's so moral!) & b) ARGH!! If it's not yours, don't take it!

And on Grey's Anatomy, I was going along with the whole Addison spin-off thing, just fine. But 2 things drove me up the wall: 1. Taye Diggs like weird chin-hair. WTF was that? He is so hot, and then he goes & grows some little chia-pet thing on his chin. Me no likey! Shave it, Taye! You're too hot for that kind of shit! That thing is worse than the soul patch! 2. "I'm going to kiss you. I'm going to kiss you with tongue." EEEEEEEWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! I could never take a guy seriously who didn't stop at the first sentence. "I'm going to kiss you with tongue"??? That puts me in mind of a time a guy said something to me that was just such a turnoff & grody, I couldn't believe I hooked up with him. Shudder.

What bugged you about tv last night?
