Grrrrrr Ridiculous Storylines

Okay, so I haven't commented much on here lately and when I tried to do so yesterday I was super smart and commented on Friday's post. Oooops. So LT, if you read this let me know what Tudors is about :-) Last night I watched 24, Prison Break and the Riches.

Prison Break made me yell at my tv. I felt like there were so many parts of last night's episode where they could have come up with a semi-realistic (that term is getting pretty meaningless on this show, though) way to do things, but chose not to. Sara had a way to call Michael, but instead they had her randomly show up at the new boat that even he didn't know about before the kid got it for them. They also decided to jump off the boat and run into the woods instead of just driving away in their boat when the cops came.

This show has convinced me it's totally probable to escape from prison and have a hugely elaborate plan tattooed on yourself. Why can't we just level off on that level of absurdity?? Why do they have to keep pushing the storylines to not make any sense?? I do understand that they're looking for ways to make the show go as long as possible, but it's really just getting insane. There have been parts I really have liked about this show...I just wish they didn't make me so angry at the rest of it...

Mau I almost felt the exact same way during last night's 24.So much so that I fast forwarded through alot of parts. Last night's episode should have been titled, "Worse US Government lesson ever" or "HOw is it possible that this show has made every single character, including Jack, so G-d damned unlikable so quickly?"

Awful, awful, awful.

And next week it looks like someone on here (I forget who it was) might have been right. Does Jack get killed? And if he does can they go ahead and kill Ricky Schroeder and the entire cast along with him? Start from scratch. Maybe save Chloe and have her be the new head of CTU.

And bring back Jack's daughter...

You're right about 24, Jo. I think that's why I'm so angry about TV today...I was too tired after Prison Break to keep yelling at the TV through 24, but it was absolutely ridiculous as well.

And yes, I believe the Riches was new...the kids went to school for the first time so if that doesn't sound familiar, it was.

I'm not in love with that show, but it keeps me entertained and somehow a family of gypsies stealing a house and identities is more realistic than people trying to catch terrorists or escape from prison. Stupid TV...

there was a movie theater in south philly i went to a couple of times. it was kinda like watching prison break with mau.

As it wasn't mentioned, tonight is the season premire of "The Shield" on FX. now if you haven't seen it, check it out.. it is one of my favorite series on TV. depeneding on how they do it, it may be a bit hard to watch without prior series knowledge... so get to torrenting all those previous seasons quick. anyway.. checkout at least one episode.. it's got swearing, partial nudity and unadulterated violence. if they had hovercrafts and lightsabers it would be the best ever.

plus the camera work is amazing and the acting is pretty tight.

I am getting thoroughly disappointed with each episode of 24. I mean . . . the 25th amendment? Seriously? What bullshit. And right, he's not going to fire the ones who voted with the veep. As if. Seriously, Palmer's a wuss ("I'm bombing them b/c he called me weak! Waaaaaah!"), his chief of staff is a slime, Jack is irritating. Although there were 2 of my favorite moment last night - possibly ever. 1) just b/c it was so well-shot, from a cinematography point of view, at least - Gridenko stumbling along under the pier. I just thought it was nicely shot with the light coming through the pylons (sp?) etc. And 2) "It's him! Hey, it's the terrorist from tv!" and everyone's all "Hey, yeah, it *is* him!" hee hee! Not so funny: the punching & the kicking, but before that . . . funny.

I will let you know when I actually get around to watching the Tudors Mau! Perhaps tonight, since there's nothing else I want to watch on, I don't think. Oh, except for PCD. Hmmm . . . .

Oh, I caught the last like 15 minutes of the Bachelor. That guy seems like kind of a drip. I can't tell if he's a dork or just self-concious with all the cameras. And no, I do not get why the Navy gave him a pass out of active duty for this bullcrap.

Did anyone watch the game last night? I totally forgot until like 10:45.
