Dr. Spaceman
I didn't catch the first 30 Rock, but the late night one was totally hillarious.
Tracey, who's your doctor?
Dr. Spaceman. Dr. Spaceman, Dr. Spaceman.
Jees, that cracked my shit up.
There's heaps of good TV on Thursday night, what did you see? What happened?
I missed Grays and might have to hold my own in a conversation with my grilfriend today at Happy Hour. Please give a detailed summary for me.
Anybody watching basketball tonight? Gators play, Irish play, State Plays... It's madness.

I spent the evening reading my picture books so I missed 30 Rock.
The missus and I did catch Idol and got to see the blowjob queen get bounced.
I will be watching basketball tonight or drinking...or maybe even both!
much too drunk to watch much tv last night but i did see scrubs which (in my opion) is getting a bit too much like an afterschool special and too little like an irreverent comedy.
In regards to 30 rock (i was on the 42nd floor of the real building on Tuesday... weird) i only caught the first one and was rather amused by the description of kabalah to Tracy: "it takes all the fun parts of Judaism and combines it with MAGIC!" There was also some cool stuff with liz firing people and getting all neurotic..
um.. there was that.. and... survivor? i hate everyone on that show but i watch it like i watch nascar, praying for spectacular death and destruction.
I watched one game (bleah) & then the new Scrubs & the old Office (hadn't seen that one yet), 1/2 of another Office I had seen & half of the other 30 Rock. All very very funny. Dr. Spaceman is great - I think he's better used here than on SNL. I have to watch the new 30 Rock this weekend.
Watched the news, part of Nightline & then caught a chunk of a Jimmy Kimmel rerun before falling asleep. It was right after Amechi (what's his name? the NBAer) came out & Hardagay was all "Dude, I hate gays". They had George Takei filmed in a commercial bit & he was like "{serious} Tim Hardaway said {quote quote quote}. In spite of this bitter and hateful speech Tim, in spite of the fact that you hate us. We like you. {starting to smile} We really like you." Then sax music starts playing & a picture of Tim in action comes up & George starts caressing it & talking about "Your big strong legs. Your chocolatey bald head covered in mansweat. And someday, someday when you least expect it, I will have sex with you! Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!" It was really funny! I wonder if it's on Youtube.
Grey's was a repeat, Helio. I probably should have watched it because I probably didn't see it, but I didn't. I didn't turn on the tv until Letterman, which was a repeat with Jim Carrey. I've never seen most of his movies, but he's a funny guy. Deeply disturbed (I've read online where all words are true ones) but funny. Then I think I watched Conan but I don't really remember.
OH, I know - I did watch that Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader show, earlier in the evening. That show is great, and I am smarter than a fifth grader (duh). I love how they're all "YOU'RE WRONG" to the little kids. No damage there.
Helio, for future reference, I think you can sum up most Grey's thusly: "Oh my god, why does Meredith do this to herself? You know she & McDreamy are going to wind up together!" and "Wow, Izzie is such a bitch!" and "Man, Christine has some repression issues!"
I have issues with Jim Carrey. He looks a lot like my high school basketball coach.
I've seen that "You know you're a redneck if when you younder if You Are Smarter Than a Fifth Grader Show". Evcerytime I see kids on quiz shows remember William H. Macy's sad, sad, sad, sad, sad, character in Magnolia. And then magically that song "You gotta be hard, you gotta be strong, you gotta be wiser" comes into my head. Which is funny because it isn't even the song from the movie (Dreams by Gabrielle) but damn if they don't sound identical.
And it rains frogs.
Good call, LT. I've only seen a few episodes of Grey's, but that sounds like an accurate description of every episode I've seen.
Last night I got to watch the news at the dentist (nothing like depressing stories of war, fires and poverty while getting drilled) and then the first 30 Rock, Scrubs and Survivor after the bar. 30 Rock is defintiely continuing to impress...who would have guessed?? NBC definitely made a good call putting it w/ the Thursday Night lineup. Most of the people I've been able to convince to give it a try only have because they were already watching everything else on that channel that night.
For this weekend I'm excited to still have the 2nd 30 Rock and this week's Lost recorded...and I give thanks again to the recorded tv gods...
Let the record show that mau threw up a softball and much like LT's "expensive and white" owfl comment, I let it pass by without a sarcastic response.
Jo, I'm so very proud of you. Prouder than I am of myself. I was oh so tempted, but it was just too easy - I couldn't get any good wording out.
And let the record show, I was well aware of what I was typing when I said 'white & expensive'.
Yeah, but word over on OWFL is that Jo takes his men black.
HT has never seen "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka" nor apparently has she seen "Airplane".
LT you are on my team for the next World Series of Pop Culture.
