a night without TV is not the night for me

oh my god.
did you see what happened on Lost last night?
shit.
i didn't. So tell me what i should be excited for when i return home to the warm glowing warming glow of my sweet tv. and beyond that...
what do you do when the shows you care about take a short break.. say, until the end of april or so? do you start watching whatever tripe they try and push on you on the interim (such as the guy from firefly's new show)? or do you stoically wait, frown set and arms akimbo, for the return of your tried and true programming?

poop.

Last night was the Sarah Silverman season Finale. What up with that? after 4 seasons she gets to call it a season? I didn't catch it.

In fact as I mentioned, i've been very lax in my TV viewing.

It's Barbarian week on the history channel, but all the shows I've seen are the same. Bad reenacting, blah blah this about this guy from this hoard who was trained by the romans then went on to sack rome herself. If it weren't for the occasional reference to the team they were on, and the special History guests (Shouts out to ND for slipping one in. Jo you must be so proud) they have on, i'd swear it was the same show on a loop.

I'm viewing with Lil Miss Sunshine tonight so I think that means Earl, office, Grays and yes, Men in Trees if that shit is on. Hopefully we can DVR 30 rock.

Jo, It looks like Captain America gets killed by a sniper and Marvel is not talking about bringing him back. As an expert in that relm, i'd like to hear your thoughts.

helio let me say thank you for not caring if I wanted to read the comic and find out for myself (the Captain America comic gets delivered to my home tonight).
You are actually the third person (including rico tubbs but not including CNN whom I was avoiding) to ruin any surprise I might get about Captain America's fate so don't feel bad (I'm sure you wracked with guilt). Feel free to stop by and take a gander at the actual comic anytime after this weekend.

M, last night's Lost was actually pretty good. Sayid had the flashback story and it was solid, and the main story actually moved the plot along a few steps. You will enjoy it.

And I continued my record of not missing an Idol episode last night.
The blowjob queen wasn't entirely awful last night even though she was still clearly in the bottom two and was pimp slapped by the judges, again. But I predict that she was just not awful enough to get voted into the final 12 by America's teenage boys and thirtysomething men (ahem). HT you will be happy to hear that she sang a Corrinne Bailey Rae song last night.

The missus and I also watched Top Model and Real World. These Real Worlders continue to be the least likable cast in history. But they are entertaining.

30 Rock tonight.

Lost was good stuff. Best episode this mini-season so far I think. Well, maybe. Certainly better than the last 2 weeks. I can't believe Locke got hisself almost sliced in the neck. Like, dude, drag the guy into your chess-playing room. So predictable. Anyone know russian?

Watched Top Model, Wedding Bells, and Lost last night. I do not think the Wedding Bells is a show I will be watching on a regular basis. It's too bad, b/c I've always like Teri Polo. She doesn't look good, though. Something about her hair, I think. Top Model is great. I'm glad they didn't get rid of the crazy russian mail-order bride. She is full of crazy (russian accent)! Jaslene is annoying & Renee is full of excuses & is totally a Debbie Downer (wah waaaaah). I think that Brittany, I think her name is (with the short red hair - she was pro-fur last week, I forget what her high school thing was this week) is my early favorite.

Tonight is 30 Rock, Scrubs, maybe the Office if I'm not taping something else. Oh, and Grey's. I think it's new, right? Wait, actually that might be a rerun.

Helio, is Men in Trees on? I think I saw something about some new show premiering after Grey's, but maybe that was for next week. Just be prepared, big guy!

Jo, you're welcome. I mean it was on the cover of the Express today. i also asked the bro in law what he thought too. I thought that edition came out already, so while I have no guilt, i apologize for my breach of conduct.

No men in trees? The terrorists have already won.

Oh for fuck's sake blogger. Do we have to move TV Lunch off of you, too? Deleting my fucking comments.

I said, Helio, if by 'terrorists', you mean 'people who hate Anne Heche', you're right. And if it's any consolation, the show replacing it doesn't look good either, but in a different not-good way from Men in Trees.

Oops.

Watched Lost last night, and finally caught up with GG. I was afraid Rory was going to fuck up with Logan like her mom did with Chris and then I was going to be done (DONE I tell ya'!) with that show.

Lost was good; of course, I liked last week's and its shout out to Three Dog Night and hated that stupid Desmond episode, so whatever. Sawyer and Sayid are my favorites, though I do not think Sawyer is hot. And isn't Sayid married to Barbara Hershey?

sayid is with barbara hershey but I don't think they are married. if I remember correctle he fathered a child by another woman while filming in hawaii.

I don't think he & Barbara Hershey are married, but they have been dating for like 10 years or something. But I could be wrong about the not married thing. And . . . what? Barbara Hershey? For real? She must give amazing blowjobs.

I think Sawyer is hot. I freely admit it. Although not when he's rocking the samurai ponytail thing he had last night. Ew. Let your hair fly free in the wind, Sawyer! And your chest! Take off that damn shirt!

I liked last week's episode better than the week before that with Jack & Bai Ling. It didn't really advance the story, but it was Hurley-centric, which was fine.

Just remembered (thanks to TWOP) my favorite lines from Top Model last night:
Ms. J to Natasha: You [your walk] look like your marching.
Natasha in confessional: Ms. J said I look like . . . martian?

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!
