George Takei is EVIL
Poor, cute little Hiro. Big, bad Sulu daddy is a bad guy! And not just an unpleasant fellow - he's like the leader of the evil.
And, can someone please explain to me since when Eric Roberts became cool? That dude is fucking EVERYWHERE. Videos for Mariah Carey and the Killers... the L Word... now Heroes? I wish he were just relegated to, "that dude who was in Star 80," because he's creepy.
So what did everyone watch last night? I only had a chance to see Heroes, but I have Prison Break and the Black Donnelly's to catch up on. (thanks to Lady A for going old school and taping the latter for me, because I forgot to program my DVR)
What's on the agenda this evening?

The reason Eric Roberts is everywhere is that he is creepy. Thus, perfect casting. I actually love the fact that Sulu is evil because George Takei seems so unassuming.
I taped The Black Donnelleys for later viewing, but did catch up with Your Mom. It was funny as usual.
And now, TVLunchers, I have a confession. Please don't judge me, this is really hard for me to admit. I've been watching The Class. (Gasps go up all over the blogosphere). It started out innocently. When I caught Your Mom live, I would just leave the TV on while I puttered about the apartment, doing dishes, laundry, what-not. Slowly but surely, though, the puttering stopped, and I started to watch. I'm not proud, and I'm not defending my actions, and I'm certainly not encouraging anyone else to do the same thing. It just feels better to get it off my chest.
That episode of Heroes may have been the best hour of network TV so far this season.
Really good stuff.
I watched The Black Donnelly's and it kept my attention the full hour, now I am curious, but I really don't see it maintaining that level of quality.
I'll watch my taped 24 tonight and the Idol business. I'm voting for the blowjob queen!
Tonight is CW night at HT's. Though, I may tune in to Idol for the first time this season to see Catholic University's own BlowJob Queen, as Jo so eloquently put it. I also need to watch Prison Break and the Hills. I have a lot of tv in my future.
Hey y'all, I'm back! Last night I got home about 10, but I started dinner & phoned the 'rents, so by the time I turned the tv on Black Donnellys was almost half over, so I didn't watch it. Oh well. What I did watch was last week's office & wow, what is wrong with Jan & then I went up to my room & watched the Daily Show with high hopes of catching a glimpse of myself during the big camera sweeps at the beginning or the end of the show. Sadly, it did not happen. Ah well. And the middle segment was taped. I was relatively bummed. But all in all, it was good stuff & Jon Stewart is so cute in real life! Tee hee!
I am tired as fuck today. Without the fuck. Yawn.
Heroes was F'ING AWESOME!! I may even watch it again online.
Prison Break was pretty good too. The Black Donnelly's wasn't too bad. I think it was a little over the top with the fighting irish and italian mob jobs...but that Tommy is a hottie and I like violent shows.
As far as I can see I think tonight's TV viewing will be limited to Idol.
Tonight will probably be mostly catch up from last week. Also I taped the Oscars since I missed most of it in case there were any "Oh my God, did you see {fill in blank}?!?" moments. Of which I so far have heard none. What were your favorite/most horrific Oscar moments & when were they so I can fast forward to it? And please don't say anything in the last hour, b/c I only taped "Oscar" & "Channel 7 News at 11" so it ends at 11:30. Argh.
Oh, I'll be watching AI. Hey, that chick is from the town where my aunt lives. I'll have to ask my aunt if she's the town floozy.
Oooh... LT, I think you might be out of luck. It was REALLY long, and I think all the good awards were given out after midnight, except the supporting actor categories, which weren't up front like in the past, but rather buried somewhere in the middle. It was painfully boring this year.
Well, that's good to know. I got back to my hotel room in time to see the top 4 awards, so I think I'm good with that. Also caught the dead people movie & some long bit that I didn't get - it was a bunch of bits of movies together, but it didn't have an identifiable theme or anything, so I don't know what was up with that. Hm. That might be at like the end of my tape . . . will have to fast forward to the end to see if it is b/c I'd really like to know what was up with it.
Eh, there's not much more I want to see. Maybe Ellen's opening - was it any good? What did she do? I'm assuming she didn't put herself in clips from the movies like Billy Crystal always does.
i fell asleep about 20 minutes into prison break after watching your mom and thus missed basically everything... i blame this on the doritos coma...
i am kinda morally against black dons because of how much they have been pushing it on the commercials... even with the pvr i'm seeing like two or three adverts per show... grrr marketing.
anyway.. anyone else have a review of the donnellies? worth watching?
And DIRT!!!
Dirt is on tonight at 10 on FX!!! You all should be tuning in, tonight of all nights, as Vincent "Brown Bunny" Gallo will be guest starring tonight.
Courtney Cox was on Leno last night saying how they did a movie together, and were friends before it, but after, couldn't stand each other. Somehow over time, they "made up" and she asked him to be on the show. Of course, he punches her in the face according the previews, so I'm not sure how "made up" they are.
Dude, that is awesome. That does it. I'm catching up on Dirt, so I can eventually watch this Vincent Gallo episode. That guy disgusts me, yet I can't turn away.
As I am a kind person, I only watched How I Met Your Mom (who would have thought 'I'm Gonna Be' would end up in my head all these years later...) and Prison Break before m fell asleep. I'm looking forward to recorded Heroes and 24 tonight as well as Dirt (thanks for the reminder HT!) if m falls asleep again or I can convince him to watch.
I went a little obsessive compulsive and downloaded all the previous episodes of Dirt recently so I'm all caught up. I didn't think I'd really be into it, but I'm definitely enjoying so far.
LT-yay for getting to see Jon Stewart! I'm sorry you didn't get to be famous :-/ What time did you get there? Any advice for those of us who will hopefully go see Jon in the near future?
Again, no TV last night. I went out for my roomie's birthday and missed 24. My girlfriend didn't DVR it for me either, so it's on to iTunes for me.
TV tonight is all about my favorite Program... Gators on TV.
UF vs. Tennessee 9:00, ESPN. Check it out.
My patented Daily Show advice: make sure you get there early, but (yesterday, at least) you don't have to be super-early. We got there about 3:15-3:20 & there were quite a few people in line. We got in line between a sign store & a plaster store & wound up with pretty good seats still. We went to get a pretzel & on our way asked the people in front what time they got there & they said 2. And that was in crappy weather, so it wasn't as bad as it probably is in the sun.
My other advice: wear comfy shoes. My dogs are still killing me & I'm wearing flats with cashmere insoles today (although to be fair, that's more b/c I wore the same pair of boots for 4 days in a row. These are 48 hour boots.).
Oh, and also he does a quick Q&A before the show, so if you like attention, and who doesn't, you attention-whore, think of a good question & stand up & raise your hand when he asks if there are any questions. Make sure you're kind of obnoxious about it, b/c squeaky wheel, you know.
I'm so tired, I'll be lucky if I'm even up at 8. Argh.
