Repeats and the Source Awards

Last night I was quite disappointed to return from the bar and find that Earl and the Office were repeats and Scrubs was mainly a flashback episode. I wanted to drunkenly laugh my ass off! How dare NBC take that away from me! 30 Rock was still funny so luckily that distracted me from my anger.

What did you catch last night? Any special TV plans for the weekend or do you have a city nearby that will be entertaining you with early St. Patrick's Day festivities? (Yay for Hoboken!)

Dude, that is one early St. Patty's day celebration - it's still 2 weeks away! Hm, I wonder how long it would take to drive to Hoboken.

I watched last week's 30 Rock & then this week's 30 Rock & also Scrubs. I was annoyed by Scrubs. I think what irked me most was when he was like "It's like those bad sitcoms that have run out of original ideas & just have a flashback episode" or whatever. Like ha ha, we get it, self-referential. That joke's been done, guys, you can do better than that!

I laughed my ass of at both 30 Rocks, though. That show is getting funnier & funnier. I seriously laughed out loud sitting there by myself.

30 Rocks maintains a high level of tomfoolery.

I missed the Idol elimination show, but it seems the blowjob queen has survived to blow another day.

Mau the best St Patty's weekend festivities on the planet will be in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA in two weeks.

You should visit www.theoriginalwhatsforlunch.com sometime.

Yea first weekend in March is a little early for St. Patrick's Day but this area seems to be hardcore on this holiday and there are celebrations for the first three weekends in March each year. My liver sometimes complains, but it's always a good time for everyone else.

Jo, my ticket is booked and I am very excited for St. Patricks's Day in Pittsburgh! Now that you guys are off blogger do I need a special login name to comment on OWFL?

You can still use Mau at owfl!

I've heard that Charleston, SC does St. Patty's day up way crazy.

LL Cool J is fantastic. And hott. He was great last night. Or was it last week? Whichever one he was in. You know what 'LL' stands for? 'LizTurtle Loves'. Oh yeah.

Thanks for the OWFL assistance Jo and LT! I will certainly join the fun.

Also thanks for the info on what LL stands for, LT! 'LizTurtle Loves' makes total sense. I checked him out on IMDB and was excited to find his credits include "The Adventures of Pete & Pete"! I used to watch that show while babysitting all of the time!

He likes to say it stands for "Ladies Love", but don't be fooled. It's part of his image, so he can't single me out.

I watched this spoof of videos & such on I think MTV (maybe VH1?) back in like 1993 or 1994 or so. They had all these spoof videos, some were completely made up & some were the original but altered. Like they had one of the New Kids on the Block videos & they edited this piece on at the end where they're trying to get into their limo & all these preteen girls totally engulf them & they start screaming & are in terror as they're swarmed by these little girls tearing their clothes off & such. It was funny. And then there was "LL Cool J" performing 'The Modest Rapper' & he was talking about like his Honda Civic & how he likes Freixenet champagne & "My penis isn't huge, but girlfriend says it's just big enough." It was HIlarious. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the real LL Cool J, but the guy sure looked a lot like him.
