What the hell, 'Lost'?
Was I missing something? Did 'Lost' answer 3 major questions I had?? I predicted that Sawyer & Kate would break up, but that was kind of implied in the previews. And thanks, 'Lost', I already knew Jack was an asshole, and also that he had (gasp!) tattoos. Were we supposed to be fascinated & intrigued by how he got the tattoos? B/c it didn't seem that crazy. I think they shrouded that lady in too much mystery. And did those thai guys not know he was thai until he got the tattoo saying he wasn't one of them?? B/c wow, those guys should get their eyes checked. Was I just asleep & missed all the subtle nuances? I sort of hope so, b/c otherwise that episode pretty much sucked.
And Friday Night Lights! Matt Saracen is adorable!! He was so cute 'Uh, just don't touch me for a couple of minutes.' Aww!!! So cute! And embarrassing! And wasn't that an interesting juxtoposition between Jason talking to the tattoo lady & her being like "No chinese characters, or barbed wired, or naked ladies" & then Jack on 'Lost' goes & gets chinese characters?? He's such a cliche!! But back to FNL - why was Julie so hot to trot? Is it the bad influence of Tyra? B/c that seemed kind of out of the blue & out of character for her.
What's on tap for tonight, y'all? Grey's is back! And holy cow, Lady A, I thought that thing you said about Addison getting her own show was just a rumour, but I read that it was in Wall Street Journal, so it's real, I guess?? Woah! That should be interesting. Do you think she'll take Mark with her? Maybe they'll move to LA & open a neonatal/plastic clinic. A one-stop-shop if you will. All the shallow mummies can get their post-birth tummy tuck & lipo right away. They won't need boob jobs until after weaning, though. And if your baby is ugly - no need to bring him home right away! Just leave him with Mark for a few days!! Hm, I like this idea! Jo, what's your friend's number so I can get together with him & develop some shows??

Yeah I was feeling a little "did I miss something?" last night after Lost. I thought FNL was a great episode though, I love the Mrs. Coach. And I would've totally been in love with Riggins back in HS. I caught the last portion of AI and the two ladies I watched were WAY better then any of the boys the night before...tis the season for wimmins on Idol.
I'm ready for Grey's tonight, although I'm sure Grey will only wake up with amnesia or something and then become bunkmates with her mom for awhile. LT I can't believe you doubted my news on the spinoff... ;)

Yeah, I probably would have been in love with Riggins in HS. Or Jason Street, pre-quad. Not that I would have had a chance in hell with either. I probably would have had a good chance with whats-his-name - Matt's dorky friend. Which I wouldn't have wanted anyways. "Crucifictorious"? Seriously??

Shut up, LT--Crucifictorious rocks. I totally want a T-shirt. Yes, last night's FNL was all kinds of awesome. My heart absolutely broke for both Tim and Tyra with their parental situations. Can I bring them both home with me for some homemade soup and freshly baked cookies (and maybe a haircut for Tim?). But any angst was all cleared up by the puppies and kittens frolicking around in the hunting cabin with Matt n' Julie (what, was I the only one who saw them?). I think Julie's eagerness came as a result of hottub-gate. I think she's maybe feeling the pressure of living up to the rally girls, and decided to take control before things got out of control.
I have an irrationally high level of hatred for Bai Ling, so the less said about Lost last night, the better.

Murderball was a great film. Everyone should see it.
I know - I felt so bad for Tyra, but ten times worse for Tim. And for his brother - what a load of crap to be piled on you when you're what, 21? 22? What an asshole.
I guess hot tub-gate explains it all a little. But not enough for me. Although that was funny with her whole "I'm gathering all the data so I can have complete control over it." Poor thing! What a shock it'll be when she finds out how messy it can all be . . . .
The 3 questions answered were apparently:

2. What happened to the kids?
3. Are Bai Ling and Jack having an affair in real life?
I taped Friday Night Lights for the 9th time.
Watched Idol. Half of the girls are very good. They guys should all be sent home.
Jo, seriously, catch up on FNL. It's supposed to get cold again this weekend, so curling up with the DVR is a perfect indoor activity.
And, LT, I'm with ya on Billy. I really feel for the guy. Although I think he's meant to be mid-20s now, he couldn't have been much more than 19 when he started "raising" Tim. And considering that it appears Billy himself would have been better off being raised by wolves than by Daddy Riggs, I think he's doing the best he can. Yeah, that show just breaks my heart every week. Luckily, it also makes me laugh.
I haven't watched lost in quite some time. That blonde woman -- familiar -- took me forever to figure out that she was the lesbian girlfriend of the lesbian on ER. And Ben's daughter, she once had a little thing with Malcolm. And that one woman -- I thought she was Alyssa Milano for a second, but she wasn't. Those were the most interesting parts of the show. Can I stop watching now? No? Okay.
I didn't see FNL yet, but I caught Lost. I didn't think this one sucked so much, but then again, I didn't like last week's at all. Of course, I also don't think Jack's an asshole - so I'm totally not on the side of Lost general viewership.
I won't be home tonight either, so I'll be getting home and watching DVR'd OC (sniffle) and Grey's. At least I'll already be drunk enough to deal with the departure of my beloved Seth.
It's lucky that the lesbian's girlfriend turned out to be a lesbian as well. That could have been awkward!
HT, I'm not sure that I'm with the general viewership in my thinking that Jack's an asshole. I kind of think most people think he's just put-upon. I think those people are excusing his dickiness. Like, yeah, your dad sucked, but you're still making the choice to ignore your wife & vaguely threaten your thai girlfriend.
Oh, GG, speaking of thai girlfriend, why do you hate Bai Ling so much? If you can't tell us here, in this forum, then who & where can you tell??
As I said, my hatred of Bai Ling is irrational (self-awareness is the first step to recovery, right?) I suppose it's vaguely based on her Bjorkian fashion choices. Also, I get the impression that she's kinda dumb (and even this, I know, is somewhat irrational, since I know English is not her first language and also other truly, truly idiotic celebs don't bug me half a much as she does). But like I said, it's a totally irrational level of dislike. I just know that I would never pay to see her in anything, and I kind of resent that she was just forced upon me last night. Again, irrational, and I think I may need professional help.
Is WKRP available on dvd yet?

I would like to bring up 2 things that Jo and I discussed off blog, to see if others took note.
1) All the damn tongue when Jack and What's-her-whore were making out, and,
2) When Jack said, "You taste salty," did you not expect her to say, "It's because I've been sucking cock all day,"? ESPECIALLY when he made the comment about "washing the day off."

The extra tongue action must be a Lost thing because I remember when kate and sawyer kissed there was a lot of tongue (I only remember this because of the Lost marathon that I have been conducting for the past two weekends).
Yeah, they like the tongue-kissing on Lost. And I had to rewind my dvr during that scene, b/c I seriously thought Jack said 'washing the gay off?' I was like, WOAH!! She's a he! That is so Crying Game. Actually more M. Butterfly.

I did not notice all the tongue on Lost (then again, I was trying to ignore Bai Ling), but I did notice that on FNL the sound mixers turned up sound effects on all the kissing scenes up to 11 last night. I appreciate that the show keeps its teen romances realistically awkward, but I really don't need my TV kissing to sound that, um, moist.
HAHAHAHA!!!! I'm with you on that, GG!! Ugh, they do that on the Bachelor, too. Like, I get it, they're kissing, this ain't a movie, people, turn that shit down.
I just realized what Bai Ling reminds me of. With her weird stripy hair & her skinny skinny body, she's like a human version of the asian tiger mosquito.
