Morris has a really bad day...I mean hour.
On the 2 hour 24 last night Morris had quite a rough time. If being kidnapped and drilled through the shoulder wasn't enough, he also has to live with the guilt of arming a handful of nuclear warheads for some terrorists. And they didn't even have the decency to kill him. I sure hope the rest of this day gives him a chance for redemption...
Oh, and Jack's Dad is really evil. Hardcore biblical evil. And so far the only motivation for his evil that they have given us is he wants his company to keep it's sterling reputation. That's just evil. Is keeping the stock price up worth the lives of all of your male heirs?
Heroes continues to taste like candy. Nikki/Jessica is getting very interesting (mindereader cop could "hear" them arguing). Invincible Claire finds out that her real Dad is a jerk, kind of. But the bigger point is she avoided seeing his face so the show can save that big dramatic moment for later. Her adoptive mom looks like she is in big trouble. And Sylar is a sly murdering bastard.
On Studio 60 we find out that Matt is severely troubled.
What did you watch last night?
22 Comments:
Studio 60 really isn't requiring their actors to do much acting... Amanda Peet playing a pregnant Jordan when she's actually pregnant and Matthew Perry playing someone addicted pills - also, not so much of a stretch. I still like it though.
Also watched Heroes. I'm not in love, but I'm reminded of the Stephen Stills classic:
And there's a rose in a fisted glove
And the eagle flies with the dove
And if you cant be with the one you love
Love the one your with
Don't be angry
Don't be sad
Don't sit cryin' for good times you had
There's a girl right next to you
And she's waiting for something to do
Heroes is like the girl right next to me, just waiting for something to do.
HT, you are making the right call by letting that girl go down on you. Everybody wins.
Yes. Mr. Bauer is driven by evil
If by, "letting that girl go down on you," you mean, "watching Heroes," then yes, I'm inclined to agree.
SOrry, I was going to make a much better and well informed comment than what just came out, but the radio just said the US government is closing early today and I scrambled to see if I'd be able to get home early.
Yeah 24. It was pretty good. I thought it was rather unfair that they shot the girl, but let the whiney bitch live (that's Maurice).
So yeah, what kind of company could possibly be that important? A candy company, a porn empire, RJR Reynolds?
I missed 24 b/c of drinking. Luckily there ain't much on tonight so I can watch that & Studio 60. Drug use? In Hollywood? I'm shocked, shocked at that revelation. I am liking Steven Webber more & more. I used to hate him & anyone associated with 'Wings', but his character is pretty awesome. Such an asshole! And Lou Grant's great, too!
Tonight I will probably watch American Idol. I think it's the first show in Hollywood. So they'll be cutting something like 120 down to probably 60 or 80? I dunno.
I'm tired. I want them to shut down the office so I can go home & start catching up on my tv. Holy cra, it's only 1:40. It feels like 3. Dammit!
Silly Helio! It's a president-killing company! Oooh, does saying that violate that law about not saying that?
LT, normally I'd play along, but what's your problem with wings? It was the bridge between shows like cheers and Friends. It was mildly humorous and filling. Kind of like rice cakes.
I can't respect somebody who doesn't respect wings.
I used to watch a lot of Wings in college. USA used to play 1000 eps a day or something. I loved that show.
LT, no Steven Weber this week on Studio 60 though. It's a Matt/Harriet heavy week.
Ugh, Harriet! I'm so bored with their tortured non-romance. Yawn!
I think I've only ever watched Wings on USA. I think part of the reason I can't stand it is that I od'ed on it. The other part is that this girl I knew in college who I had a falling out with was big into Wings & was always talking about what a great show it was. It seriously got to the point of "Shut UP. Steve Webber can kiss my ass! And that other guy - the one who played David Koresh?! Agh!!! And fucking LOWELL?!?" She got in a snit at a party once & sat down & sulked watched the Wings marathon that was on. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARTY. So if that doesn't give me license to hate it, I don't know what does.
Although Monk was great in that show.
I think Dauber from Coach was on Heroes last night...
Yeah, but Lowell was funny on Ned & Stacey and later in Sideways. And, shout out to Jo, he's in Superman 3 playing Sandman. I can't hate on Lowell.
And the other guy - the Koresh one - he's Christahfuh's addicted screenwriting buddy (sponsor?) on the Soprano's.
I didn't like that girl though. She got on my nerves.
Ha ha! Dauber! Well, at least he's getting some work.
Jo, IMDB does not verify that, but it did tell me that Dauber is the voice of Patrick on SpongeBob Squarepants.
Ha ha! Christufuh! Hm, I'll have to watch Soprano's again. Oh wait, is that like recent? I watched the whole first season & half the second one & I don't remember him. Although I guess he wasn't getting treatment back then. Hm. I need to get back to it so I can give my friend his dvds back.
Yeah, the chick on Wings was annoying. Did any of you menfolk find her hot? B/c I guess she was supposed to be, but I didn't see it.
I loved Wings. And "That Koresh Guy" is hot (whats-his-face Daly, not the actual David Koresh. Though he had lots of wives/sex slaves, so he must have at least been charismatic.)
Anywho, I don't watch 24, so I feel a bit left out. Last night was the usual Heroes/Your Mom shenanigans. Both shows satisfied.
Tonight is Ladies' Night--Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars.
HT do you know who I thought might be Dauber?
The guy who Hiro and Ando try to steal the purse from.
I might be wrong.
Hmmm... now that you say that, I don't know - but it's not on his, or the Heroes IMDb pages.
The "Koresh guy" is Tim Daly, brother of the overweight and unfeminine, Tyne Daly, or Lacey as I call her.
I did not know they were related! Huh!
Cagney & Lacey - what a great show. I'm betting it hasn't held up well, much like Tyne Daly.
Tim Daly did the voice of Superman on the Justice League cartoon.
And wasn't he on "The Nine"?
Yes, he was the cop!
Who is this 'randy' personage?
