Idol/Pussy Tuesdays
The first night of the Idol Final 12 shows aired. Diana Ross was the special guest and theme. The guys continued to underwhelm, and among the girls there is a clear #1 in my mind (Melinda).
The missus and I have seen at least a part of every episode this season and are determined to to continue our travels with America this year. But no voting.
Meanwhile on the CW network, The Next Pussycat Doll has quickly become a very good show. If the format stays the same and the contestants have to prefom a song and dance routine each episode than it will stay in our dvr rotation for the long haul.
Leslie has left the building on Bad Girl's Club.
I also watched a dvr'd Inside The Actor's Studio with Chris Rock last night. It made me think back to how huge "Bring the Pain" was when it first aired on HBO. Every single human I knew saw it and was talking about it. He's got amn amazing brain. He aslso said what I thought was the funniest thing I had ever heard on a late night talk show when he went on Conan O'Brian and talked about the different crowd reactions that Michael Moore and Roman Polanski (in absentia) received at ths Oscars a few years back. "They boo Michael Moore, but give the rapist a standing ovation? I don't get that. I thought rape was bad? I mean, we want to kill Saddam Hussein, but we don't want to rape him! That'd be horrible!"
Priceless.
What did you watch last night?
Ready for Lost tonight?
Labels: Bad Girls Club, chris rock, idol, pussycat dolls

stayed away from anything involving singing last night but did wait until 10 to catch Dirt. It was another pretty solid episode where they continued to develope the schizophrenic photographer well and (better than that) spend the bulk of the show mocking paris hilton/nichole riche.. there was even a little quick shot at the beginning reminding the girls to exit the car with a closed skirt when there are photographers around... aside from that just caught the dailyshow/colbertreport (solid as always).
did anyone see the colbertreport on Monday and Tuesday? well apparently he spoke ill of Capt America because there were points in his career (Capt) where he disagreed with the gov't. anyway, so on weds night the Chief Editor of Marvel sent colbert a letter stating that he was in the capt's will and cobert was left the indestructable shield as he was the only one with balls "red white and blue enough" to deserve it.
i want to be sent stuff.
I really need to get back into watching daily show and colbert.
For the record m, I am not convinced that Steve Rogers (Captain America) is dead. But I should relagate my comic book opinons to "COMIC LUNCH" which is a new blog that I will start after I turn 40 and if I still care about these things...
I should probably go ahead and buy the domain name now...
I wound up being out until after 11 (as recounted on OWFL, watching Last King of Scotland, then dinner, then driving my friend home), so when I got home, I watched the end of Nightline while I brushed my teeth & then b/c I wasn't quite tired yet I watched Bad Girls Club. I am bummed that Leslie is gone b/c she was the only one (at least in the last couple of episodes) with any perspective. I hope she gets it together, although I was confused about that whole phone call that she missed thing - it was for a meeting with her advisor? And they wouldn't reschedule? Wha? And fucking Zara. WTF, go into your own fucking bathroom. She's so full of shit - "I am growing & finding out who I am" Load of bull! And Aimee continues to bug - I like how she was talking about she would have liked to have smashed in a face. What a big phony. Ugh. HAAAAAATE. At least Jodie was like "Yeah, you're right, I've been treating this like a vacation."
Best part of bad girls club is when drunk zara was on the phone with her boyfriend and whines, "I 'm not gonna mess up, I'm not gonna fuck anyone, I have to puke." Then she runs to the bathroom.
I only caught Dirt last night. Agree with M on all points. Next week's looks to be excellent.
I'm getting sick of Julia and Holt though. Collectively they whine and pout more than any two television people in recent recollection. I'd like to see a double suicide, or murder-suicide plotline for them.
Tonight is Lost, I guess. Can you see I'm looking forward to it? I leave tomorrow after work for the OWFL conference, so I have a lot of shit to do tonight in preparation, so it'll likely be background noise.
Last night I watched Idol (once the final 12 are chosen, I always watch, but I usually tape it and fastforward through all the Seacrest and the rest of the filler. Just singing and judges). Does Sanjaya frighten anyone else?
I think Sanjaya is coming out on Idol. If he makes it again I may have to stop watching it...or at least scold america for being f'ing retards.
Poor Sanjaya.
On the bright side he should have plenty of offers once the show ends, unfortunately they will all either be private shows for NAMBLA chapters or gigs as a Justin Guarini impersonator (sans the singing).
No TV again last night. I used my Television from 11:30 - 1:30 to shoot Nazis. Call of Duty 2.
I got nothing on tap for tonight either.
Thursday I'll be seeing the Spartans of MSU play their tournament game. Hopefully the ol lady will dvr some NBC for me.
